Hi. I will be turning 62 and have practiced as a hospice and palliative care RN for the last 30 years. Over the last 7 years, I have taken deep dives into trauma and spiritual leaders throughout the world. I firmly believe we under-diagnosis and treat trauma, and it permeates our everyday lives, including vicarious trauma that we as providers come into contact with. That being said, it is imperative that we know our own biases, filters, lenses, and need to ground ourselves to continue to do good work. I graduated with my degree in 2018 and have one more board exam that is not wanting to come to fruition due to rescheduling with COVID issues at the testing center and the recent death of my father (a huge source of trauma). I appreciate Yvonne’s wisdom and willingness to share her experiences and stories so we can grow as a profession. I am really drawn to the five element and Taoist perspective of TCM although I was trained classically. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone.

    Best, Melinda
