I often wonder about manipulating baby position and how it effects outcomes. It comes up for me less with breech and more with OP babies who will turn OA with acupuncture or other positioning techniques..and then end up asynclitic with a prolonged second stage – often resulting in a c-section. Always makes me wonder if they’d just been left OP if things would have been different. The more birthing people I care for and births I attend the more hands off and indirect I feel I am becoming when it comes to working with baby position.
