Hi Jennifer. Her reaction sounds like postural hypotension and especially as she was sitting. Suggest treating her lying on her side preferably on her left side at this stage of pregnancy.
Don’t worry, it used to happen to us from time to time at the hospital if they were sitting up on the couch and it resolved within a minute when we laid them down flat with just 1or 2 pillows AND we left the needles in.
