Many years ago I saw a researcher present on how stoking the breast when feeding ( towards the nipple) significantly increased lactation hormones and milk production – they had taken this from other cultures where this was the norm – that is women not wearing bras and clothes so exposed breasts when breast-feeding – I was past the breast feeding stage at that time but thought it would have been useful – I pass this on for women to give them confidence to try if they can.
