Ann, I’m so sorry to hear about all your recent, very significant losses. That is a lot to try to process on top of your changing city, intensity of state division and politics, and all while holding space for patients in such an incredibly intense time, AND amidst so much tension.
I like how you have had profound moments of realizing you want to do acupuncture, and be part of this group! It’s interesting to read your thoughts on Austin as I hear a lot of CA folks have moved there. Your description reminds me of something a couple people have said about parts of Montana lately – some towns seem more like movie sets or caricatures. With your wisdom, experience, “old Austin” knowledge, I can see how you are able to guide and teach all those millennial women in your town. ☺
