Sarah – I am joining Lorie in breathing deeply as I continue to sit with your prima materia since reading it when you first posted it. Thank you for the courage to make space, again, for this piece of your story and to share it with all of us. I hear a story such as yours and am always in awe of the indomitable nature of the human spirit. So much loss, and in such early years of your life.
I want to say, also, just as a sort of ‘technical’ note that you’ve done a beautiful job of distilling your prima materia. “I don’t matter” is an unequivocal piece of lead that is asking for attention and deep caring.
