Hi Sarah – The ARRIVE study ( that concluded “Induction
of labor at 39 weeks in low-risk nulliparous women did not result in a
significantly lower frequency of a composite adverse perinatal outcome, but it
did result in a significantly lower frequency of caesarean delivery”) does not seem to have made an impact here in NZ to date – we are going to be looking at this ARRIVE study as part of research discussion in April and I have the midwifery response to share – hopefully that will help the discussion
