Such good work, Amy, and I’m really glad you are getting the power of “sloooow” … so much a part of alchemical work is honoring the time that a process can take if it is to be truly integrated and incarnated rather than remain “just a good idea.” I love what you write:
If I tried to jump straight to allowing empowerment without allowing this foundation to form and strengthen, I would get triggered so fast and revert back to old ways – my perspective and perceptions wouldn’t have changed, so empowerment would have felt exposing and like a lie I was going to get caught in.
Powerful insight and a very important understanding about healing at this deep level of our being. We are called to honor the process and the journey and trust that the “goal” – the moment of actual embodied transformation – will happen in its own time or kairos. Yes!
