Wow Cara, what beautiful imagery! Thank you for taking the time to read and respond. I am so grateful we were connected last weekend and would love to continue our conversation in the months and years ahead.

What you write reminds me of the movie Moana (my daughter’s favorite film when she was three) — when TeKa is seen for who she truly is and her heart is returned to its rightful palace the lava rock crumbles to reveal what lies beneath the hard exterior — an infinitely abundant, generous and loving goddess of the islands, TeFiti. Her roots grow far and wide and life sprouts from everything she touches. Perhaps we all have that warrior within us, traveling across rough seas and risking everything to know the truth and value of our hearts. <3

I feel the hard earth crumbling around my heart too, and as you so beautifully said, softening into a rich soil to support and nourish what has been hidden beneath.

    Love, Joanne
