I love this story!!! It brings together so many alchemical truths in a succinct poetic image. Yes, this is the work … this gradual washing away of the mud that has come to cover over our original radiance. And at the same time, cherishing the accumulated mud and grime and how it has protected us. This is a story to muse and meditate on, particularly as we wend our way through Wood into Fire and approach the precious Golden Light of the Heart.
Amy, thank you so much for this writing and for bringing the story of the Golden Buddha to the larger group. I am am so glad and grateful that you didn’t leave the profession and that you are putting a tentative toe back into these deep and fertile waters.
