Joanne, a big YES! to what you are expressing here. I particularly love how you have articulated the crucial shift of attitude and intention when we open to an alchemical approach:
Instead of trying to put language to Chinese medicine so that it is “palatable” to the receiver, I can engage the receiver to believe in and experience the magic of Chinese medicine. Invite them into the world of the unseen, the unknowable, the imaginal. Invite them to trust something beyond the five senses, and in doing so, trust intuitively in themselves.
Beautifully expressed! This engagement of the patient (as well as ourselves) in an actual, embodied shift in consciousness is, for me, the most exciting part of our work. It is my belief that it is also, at this time on our planet, the most important aspect of the healing process.
