Fibroids may or may not affect fertility and pregnancy, we often first diagnose fibroids during the pregnancy sonogram, but if she is having infertility issues, or if she has pelvic pain and pressure and heavy or irregular menstrual period, then she should have the fibroids evaluated and possibly removed especially the submucosal fibroid
