Hi Marybeth. I too am not familiar with this but when I think about the pelvis/hips, I think of possible emotional ties or blockages but it of course, depends on the presentation, signs/symptoms and what she might actually be experiencing, history, etc.

The race to the finish line….reminds me of the mom that works until 41 weeks 6 days and worried she is not going into labor.

Hello Micaela. I can’t agree more about mentorship and being with peers. I’ve been Part of MAMPs for the last two years and am always learning…the true beauty of our medicine.
See you on our first call!

Hello Julia. Welcome to the group. Its wonderful to have you. Do you only work with the babies or when they are older too? I have a Pediatric and Pregnancy practice (and everything else in between). I recently had a mom bring in her 3 year old and her 1 week old…it was so precious. I love having a space where I can treat moms, kids and everyone in between.
Looking forward to a great session with you.

Thank you so much for your introduction. I used to work in Public Health and then decided to go into Chinese Medicine. I started working in pregnancy and postpartum and then had my own children. As a natural progression, given my work in pregnancy, I started working with children and my own kids have been my #1 clients to practice my pediatric acupuncture skills on 🙂 . Now my practice focuses mainly on pregnancy – postpartum and pediatrics.
I’m looking forward to hearing your perspectives in the forum given your background. I’ve been part of MAMPs for two years and feel it is such a wonderful program if you are treating this population.
