    Hi Sarah,

Hope all is going well with your client. I was just thinking I have had success with disc herniation using bl40 then bl17 and 9 needles over the site with stick moxa continually over the 9 needles. These are placed on the du line, bladder and outer bladder of the disc herniation, above and below. It could be worth a try…

Sorry to hear this, just treading makes me feel like she is highly strung. I think best approach would be to do whatever you can to calm nervous system. Baby would be feeling this energy. I would recommend have baby on breast as much as possible and during this time just sit or lay with baby connecting, no phone or tv etc. she really needs that natural oxytocin to flow and let the milk flow. Dad could massage gb21 help milk descend, hot foot bath as well. Maybe add yin tang and shen men in. Best of luck, sounds like your doing everything else

Actually do you bring your own table or treat them in bed? And thoughts on how long after a cesarean before you treat the scar and use moxa on it? Thanks

So many great tips, loving the ideas as I am also starting postpartum visits. I loved the idea of putting a tea on for them. Wondering suggestions on good postpartum blends?

I’m on maternity leave myself so not sure what’s happening in clinic but I personally feel that getting the vaccination whilst pregnant is making you a sample for you and your baby. If they haven’t done any research on the vaccination on a pregnant woman (which I think isn’t allowed as unethical) then you and your baby could be the statistic. I’m not sure that sits well with me.. especially after Kate’s lecture discussing such little percentage of risk. I think in Australia though we are meant to recommend as practitioners..

I actually don’t use kd9 much in pregnancy but I do use it if the asis reflex is positive, it gives instead relief. I’m wondering if it’s cslming contractions because of the relationship to the sinew channel and relaxing that area. Thanks for sharing the info I’ll keep it in mind now more for pregnancy

  • That’s wonderful news. Can you explain why you chose KD6 and Lu7?
