Hi everyone, I’m Tara Diaz and I have been licensed for 9 years and have gone from having a general practice to focusing on womens health and fertility in the last few years. I practice in the South Bay of Los Angeles. I am part of the alumni mentorship because I got so much out of the office hours and experts in the last mentorship that I couldn’t give up the opportunity to do it again. The content of the course is also very informative especially if you love working with the 8 extras. I look forward to getting to know you all and learn from you in the next few months.

    Hi Sharon,

I use Acuhub and love it. I just switched to them. I started used virtual receptionists about 5 years ago when my first born was one. I noticed that people do not want to leave messages. And I had a small child so answering my phone when i was at home was not an option.

Acuhub answers the phone, books appointments, and calls people who are late. They can also call and reschedule people which I try not to do but it happens. They do not email or text patients. But they text with me all day which is so efficient.

Currently they make appointments in unified practice, get their cc info to book, and their insurance info if applicable.

They also will make a outgoing calls so if you want them to check in on a patient for you they are happy to do that.

Acuhub also had other VA services that i have not used but it is in the vein of setting up systems I believe. I really like Jenn the owner. She is an acupuncturist herself.

I wanted to jump on this thread to help you find all the questions. I love your questions Sharon. Especially the last one. It’s so hard

My area of interest lately is in immune barriers to fertility. After having a patient advocate for herself to get the Receptiva test, which resulted in being diagnosed with silent Endo. I am curious as to what signs and symptoms would lead you to investigate further as an RE.

Is the Receptiva test worthwhile for immune barriers or are there other diagnostic tools that you prefer?

    Hi Laura and Everyone,

My name is Tara Diaz and I practice in the South Bay of Los Angeles. I’ve been licensed for 8 years and have always had an interest in fertility since my time at Emperor’s College. I took my first fertility CEU during my first quarter as an intern with Laura and Yvonne Farrell and I still refer to my notes from that class all the time.

After getting licensed and having both my kids, I opened my practice as a general practitioner accepting all kinds of insurance patients which made my practice busier than I had the bandwidth for. It also wasn’t great for my fertility practice, as people are very disappointed to find out that insurance covers conditions and not modalities.

This past summer, I shifted my practice once again dropping insurance, and focusing on my true loves of fertility and internal medicine. I signed up for the Aborm exam and am taking it in March.

I’m so excited for this mentorship, I think the piece that is really missing for me, is the clinical pearls and honing my diagnostic skills. Once we’re in practice, it feels like we’re all on our own island, and I can’t wait to hear how other people do things. I am very pleasantly surprised about how much experience everyone brings to this program and I can’t wait to meet your all at our q&a’s and such.

    Tara
