Nice alter, Erin. I have this deck too but it hasn’t fully drawn me in yet. I imagine I’ll be hanging out with it some more this year!

Coming back around to this now, and thanks for your interest Ann! Part of the beauty of Tarot that first drew me in was that without having any prior knowledge of Tarot I could look at a reading and understand much of what was being expressed to me through the images. And I love that Tarot interpretations live, to some extent, in the eye of the beholder. So my understanding of Tarot is informed by study (particularly with Lindsay Mack) but more so by my personal relationship with the cards as I reflect on how and when they turn up in my life. That’s my disclaimer for knowing that not everyone might have the same relationship with these cards as I’m expressing 🙂

So – the 3 of Cups comes up here with an energy of celebration and engagement among sacred, like-minded community. So appropriate for the time spent among all you wonderful people this weekend! And this card came up for me as a theme for the month of January- I knew it was referring to this community we are creating.

The undercurrent – the 6 of Cups has a classical interpretation of childhood memories and re-discovery of old aspects of ourselves. It often points to Inner Child themes. This was alive for me this weekend for sure as I really feel a sense of homecoming in the territory of alchemical healing. There’s also an aspect of this card that speaks to a new opening of the heart. Like the first spark of possibility of new love after a heartbreak (5 of Cups) or the first hint of Spring after a cold and hard winter. There’s a marvel and excitement and hope to it that I feel with this mentorship.

Finally, the anchor card – Knight of Pentacles. One of my favorite allies! I see Pentacles energy as very much about bringing our Soul centered work into the physical world. Very aligned with the Yi. This Knight is slowest moving of the Knights – barely moving at all but more gathering in resources and preparing for a journey into the territory of one’s Soul work so that when Divine timing is right we are ready to go. This totally feels like what we were doing this weekend. Sort of mapping the lay of the land and readying ourselves, slowly and intentionally, for the journey we are each beginning.

Thanks for reading if you have! This reading landed beautifully for me and I just thought others might also relate

    🙏💖🙏

So nice to meet you today, Kate. I love this post and hearing what you are moved by and what’s on your mind. Having what I offer be more widely available and also sustainable for me and my family is also very much on my mind. And, in another echo of above, great question about love not being much mentioned in CM! There are a number of themes that I see as central to how life plays out and lessons to be learned – things I see arise in Tarot readings often and that many folks are actively engaged with – that I don’t see much of in CM teachings. Or perhaps I just don’t see the connections to larger archetypes at play within the medicine yet. Looking forward to unpacking more of this as the year goes on, and to knowing you more!

So nice to meet you today, Kristine! My Virgo parts know it wasn’t easy for you to press send without proofreading 😉 Good job on that and your post is lovely! Looking forward to getting to know you this year!

Sarah, this is gorgeous work that you are doing. Thank you for this description, for your vulnerable and courageous sharing. I am holding space for you and your little girl and inspired by your process with this difficult material. Sending love, love, love to support you as you wade into these depths.

Kari, I don’t know how I missed this comment until now, but I’m wowed and intrigued about your meditation insight in sacred geometry and the connection you made with the AcuTarot work I do. Sometimes my inner vision directs me to create treatments with sacred geometry in mind. It’s not something I have talked much about, just an inner sense of things and a feeling of rightness. Thank you for sharing what you received! Would love to talk more. I’m very excited to get to meet for our lab group this weekend! Hoping the time works for you – chime in if not and we’ll find something that does!

The alignment is pretty stunning, isn’t it? I just love when readings land so fully. I’m happy it sounds like it landed for you as well 🙂

    Hi Kelli,

I love your enthusiasm and your approach in wanting to sit with the images and see what arises for you. This is using The Moonchild Tarot deck. I absolutely love it’s beauty! I will say these images aren’t always as intuitive to me as the Smith-Rider Waite images, which is sort of the classical basis and origin of Tarot in the form of a deck. I find I refer to those images in my mind no matter what deck I use and they are FULL of symbolic meanings. If you find yourself interested enough to begin playing with Tarot you might consider a deck based on these images. The original is overwhelmingly white and Euro-centric, but there are many decks now that are more inclusive of all people. The Modern Witch Tarot is a fun spin that still uses most of the classic imagery from the SRW deck, for example, and the Melanated Classic Tarot uses the precise imagery but with representation in different skin tones and bodies. Happy exploring if you choose to do so!

Takes one to know one with the Virgo energy, right? 😉 Just re-read your intro, Liz. Nice to do so after meeting on screen. I see so many common threads in our energies. I come from a Wild Woman place that was not always accessed with much balance. Trying to find the sweet spot for a re-wilding at this point in life. Ways to keep the Fire burning brightly but in life affirming and sustainable ways. Thanks for your sharing today, it resonated. And I look forward to sharing more and learning more about the AcuTarot combo too!
